VW Oil Pressure Switch

The VW Oil Pressure Switch operates the oil pressure indicator bulb on the speedometer. The switch is threaded into the engine case, or oil cooler and operates at roughly 3 PSI. Meaning that if the oil pressure indicator light is on, your engine has less than 3 PSI of oil pressure at the switch. The oil pressure switch fits 1954 through 1979 Beetles, 1956 through 1974 Karmann Ghias, 1955 through 1979 Type 2 Bus models, 1962 through 1973 Type 3s, 1973 through 1974 Things and 1980 through 1983 Vanagons. The switch operates on 6 and 12 volt systems.
