Release or Throw-Out Bearing for all air-cooled Volkswagen models from 1971 through 1979, made by Sachs ZF. After years of experience, we can find no reason to use any cheap Brazilian, Chinese or Indian brands. When you consider the cost of taking out an engine to replace one cheap bearing, it just doesn't make sense to use anything other than quality European made Clutch Release Bearings. This throw out bearing fits 1971 through 1977 Standard Beetle, 1971 through 1979 Super Beetle, 1970 through 1974 Karmann Ghia, 1971 through 1979 Type 2 Bus, 1971 through 1973 Type 3s (Square, Fast, and Notchbacks), 1973 to 1974 Thing, 1980 through 1991 Vanagon and 1986 through 1991 Syncro.
