The VW German made 228mm Sprung Clutch Disc is the factory style replacement clutch disc for 1976 through 1979 Type 2 Bus models, 1980 through 1991 Vanagon (non diesel models) and 1986 through 1991 Syncros.

A German clutch component comes from a German manufacturing company that may have numerous factories around the globe. Beginner Tips:

The VW Clutch Disc is the link between pressure plate and engine. The pressure plate engages the clutch disc and engine flywheel. As the wears out it can cause slipping, leading to a loss of power. A badly slipping or worn disc can cause damage to the clutch cover and flywheel. Be sure to replace the clutch cover and throw out bearing every time you change the disc.
