Description
The 113609163 brake backing plate plug inserts into the adjustment hole and inspection hole on the back of the brake backing plates. These plugs prevent dirt and debris from damaging the brake shoes and drums. The brake backing plate plugs are sold individually and fit the following:- 1968-1977 Standard Beetles
- 1971-1979 Super Beetles
- 1967-1974 Karmann Ghias
- 1966-1973 Type 3s
- 1980-1991 Vanagons
- 1986-1991 Syncros
There are typically 4 backing plate plugs needed per backing plate.
- 2 are used for the brake shoe inspection holes
- 2 are used for the brake shoe adjustment holes
- A total of 16 are required/recommended per vehicle
