This ball joint is made by Italian manufacturer OCAP. It fits all 1968 to 1979 Type 2 (Bus) models, including single cabs, double cabs, and campers. Ball joints press into the trailing arm and connect the trailing arm to the spindle. These ball joints can be used for the upper and lower trailing arms on both the left and right side of the vehicle. For the upper trailing arms, the ball joint passes through the camber adjustment cam which holds the ball joint to the spindle. The cam is not included with the ball joint so make sure to save the cam from your old ball joint, yes it does come off! The ball joints are pre-greased and comes with the boot already installed. The ball joints are sold individually, 4 required per vehicle. Please note: When removing the old upper ball joint, be sure to save the eccentric camber adjustment cam and the washer. Both are needed and re-used when bolting the trailing arm to the spindle.
